GMA is used on many Firebird releases, mostly European, but it is on a few NTSC titles. It is also known as "Securispeed 2" as it identifies itself that way sometimes. It uses timed transitions from syncs to $55 bytes on track 38 to replace a piece of data in the main program so that if that track isn't copied exactly, the program crashes or acts otherwise strangely.
