Apple I Emulator

In the past, I have developed several 6502-based computer simulations. I have lost the source over the years to many of the incomplete projects, but a kind soul has returned to me the Apple I emulator that I wrote back in 1999. This was based on earlier work with vPCB which emulated the arcade hardware of the games Centipede and Millipede. This was all back in September of 1996, before the MAME juggernaut took over the scene. The Apple I emulator has been updated a little using SDL so it runs on modern hardware/Windows. vPCB for DOS is lost forever, but the project has been revamped for the Palm platform.

Download Windows/SDL version here.

Subject: New UltraMame 1.9 update
At some point in the past with a version of MAME that added the VIPER BIOS games, a bug exposed itself with regard to parsing the game list file.

This has been fixed. Download the new version to play with newer MAME releases. (Although I'm sticking with 0.106 for the foreseeable future)

Hello all,

Merry Christmas! Most updates are done on the C64 Preservation site, and occasionally the GameTrek site. Give them a visit if you have a moment.

I have switched over to a homegrown "site management " system that I am helping to write with Chris Hurley. He also wrote this fine BBS to which I have converted the (small) message base.
